Bacalar means “the lake of seven colors” and Laguna Bacalar is the largest lake in the state of Quintana Roo. It extends approximately 33 miles in length and a little over a mile at its widest point in front of Wild Life Lagoon. Of the three villages on the lake, Bacalar is the largest and most well known.
Wildlife Lagoon at Lake Bacalar is the first conservation project of its kind in Mexico. Plants and animals flourish along side a very low density residential community. With a total area of 2000 acres, over ninety percent is designated as a nature reserve that surrounds a single row of waterfront residential lots. The project will include a recreation complex on the sandy shores of the most beautiful lake in Mexico, and one of the most beautiful in the world.
This lot is in the very first section that opened and has to be one of the prettiest around. It is 40mts lakefront and 100mts deep. There is electricity and the road is complete. This is a gated community where building is quite easy but there are restrictions in place to keep the community one that people will enjoy living in for years to come. There are talks of a golf course and plans for a marina.
